Me agin! Just to flag up that Gardens of Delight has been reissued with a new cover. Orion books have produced a lovely new look to it and it really reminds me of all the happy times I spent on Lake Como.

But a word of warning, please don't think this is a new book, it isn't, it's simply been given a new and updated cover. For anyone who hasn't read it and fancies a cheap way to visit Lake Como, now's your chance!

It was announced yesterday that my book A Secret Garden Affair has been shortlisted by the Romantic Novelist Association for their Historical Romance Award. Way back in time my book Gardens of Delight won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award, so could a garden themed book bring me luck a second time?! Win or lose, it's always lovely when a novel is in the mix for an award but since this is the sixth time I've been shortlisted, I'm quite used to being the bridesmaid, so to speak!

I had some other good news yesterday, the book event I'm doing up in Kirkham is now fully booked, which is bad news if you didn't manage to grab a ticket while they were available. But well done to the Book Bean & Ice Cream bookshop for promoting the event so well.

More soon from me!

It was a blustery ol' weekend for most of us in the UK thanks to Storm Kathleen but here in Suffolk it was also quite warm and sunny and so there was some garden time enjoyed Chez James. The first wave of tulips is now coming to an end (all that wind certainly gave them a good shaking!) and the second wave is now on its way. When I planted the bulbs, this was not my intention, the labels said they'd all flower at the same time, but hey ho. Please share any tulip or daffodil photos you have, you know how I love to see your gardens!

In other news, the last image shows a list of book events I'm doing when An Ideal Husband is published. If you're able to come to any of the events, please do, it's always so much more fun talking to a room full of smiling readers.

It's now three weeks until An Ideal Husband is published, so here's a smiley me holding a copy of the book! Publication is on the 25th April but there's still plenty of time to pre-order.

I've had some lovely quotes from other authors who have read the book already and I'm tickled pink at the response. But the all important response is always from my readers, so I do hope you'll like it. I suspect there are a few Marmite characters in the book, but that's real life for you. If you zoom in to the photo, you'll see what the brilliant Cathy Kelly and Marian Keyes said about An Ideal Husband.

More from me as publication draws ever nearer.

It's Bank Holiday Monday and the 1st of April and this is NOT an April Fool's joke - today Gardens of Delight and A Sense of Belonging are 99p each for your Kindle! Orion have made a bellissimo new cover for Gardens of Delight and it brings back so many happy memories for me of my numerous stays on Lake Como.

I'm now home after a week on the Norfolk Broads and it's amazing how the garden has come on in that short space of time. The tulips and Crown Imperials are certainly looking tip-top!

Bye for now!

A very Happy Easter Sunday to you all! For the last week I've been lucky enough to be staying on the beautiful Norfolk Broads where, and much to my amazement, the sun has shone for most of the time and the only rain that's fallen was in the night, or a brief shower resulting in a stunning rainbow. The first of my photos shows the house I'm staying in with its wonderful views of the River Bure. A highlight of my stay has been a return visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden and as always, it looked spectacular, especially the topiary.

The holiday season is now under way with the arrival of Easter and friends who have stayed with me have thoroughly enjoyed waving to the people passing by in their boats. It is, of course, the law to wave and smile when on the Broads, it's absolutely that kind of very friendly place. Many of you will know that I wrote a book set here and if you haven't already read Swallowtail Summer and want to experience some Norfolk Broad's life, why not give it a go?

In a completely unrelated book plug, Mothers and Daughters is available on Audible for just £2.99 until the 7th April and is read by Juliet Stevenson.

It would be remiss of me not to mention that it's now less than four weeks until my new novel - An Ideal Husband - is published, so the countdown is on with pre-order buttons just waiting to be hit!

And that is quite enough book plugging from me! I hope that your Easter Sunday is off to a good start and that the sun is shining on you but there's no danger of it melting your chocolate eggs!
